The Hermitage once again leads among Russian institutions with 3.274 million visitors in the annual museum attendance ranking published every spring by The Art Newspaper. It concludes the top ten list. The Russian Museum ranks 13th, the Tretyakov Gallery comes 24th, Moscow Kremlin Museums rank 66th, and the Faberge Museum is the 95th. Regarding global leaders, they are consistently the world’s most renowned museums, primarily the Louvre, which welcomed 8.86 million visitors last year. In addition to the Louvre, the top includes the Vatican Museums, the British Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Tate Modern. The ranking comprises a total of 150 entries.
