Jaeger-LeCoultre has meticulously recreated Claude Monet’s Venetian masterpieces on the case backs of their new Reverso watches. Thanks to the skilled artisans at the Métiers Rares workshop, three of Monet’s iconic works — San Giorgio Maggiore at Dusk, Le Grand Canal, and The Doge’s Palace — have been brought to life on miniature canvases. Using Grand Feu enamel, the craftsmen have replicated Monet’s impasto technique, applying colors in thick, textured brushstrokes. Achieving the desired depth of color required the application of 14 layers of enamel. The watch dials feature guilloche patterns that complement the paintings: the San Giorgio Maggiore model boasts a Herringbone design, waves ripple across the Grand Canal piece, and the Doge’s Palace watch is adorned with a lozenge motif. Each model in the Reverso Tribute Enamel Monet “Venice” Series will be limited to just 10 pieces.
