Il Borro, the “sibling” of the world-famous restaurant on the Tuscan estate of the same name owned by Ferruccio Ferragamo, son of Italian fashion legend Salvatore Ferragamo, will open in May at the magnificent Elounda Peninsula Hotel in Crete. Restaurants with the same name are already operating successfully in London, Florence, Dubai, Valdarno and Viesca. And now the turn has come to Greece.
The new bistro is located in a beautiful spot right on the beach, with a magical view of Mirabello Bay. The design, which gives the place an Italian flavour of the Cretan resort, was also developed by the Italians at Studio 63. Like Il Borro in Tuscany, the gastronomic concept at Elounda Peninsula is based on organic produce, while the menu reflects the farm-to-table principle – traditional Italian dishes are prepared using fresh, seasonal ingredients. The wine cellar will feature not only famous Il Borro wines, but also the best brands from around the world. The restaurant will be open daily for lunch and six days a week for dinner. Musicians and DJs are expected to perform in the lounge area.
