La Môme Monte-Carlo has opened on the rooftop of the Port Palace Hotel in Monaco. This is the new establishment of the chain owned by brothers Ugo and Antoine Lecorche, who already own several restaurants on the Côte d’Azur, particularly in Cannes.

Interestingly, La Môme, which originated in 2015, takes its name from the French singer Lucienne Suzanne Vreurick, known as La Môme Moineau, which translates as “the little sparrow”. As a young flower girl in the nightclubs of Montmartre and Montparnasse, she began singing, married a wealthy man, and became a millionaire and a regular at casinos on the Côte d’Azur.

Now that story has been continued in Monte Carlo, in a restaurant with a beautiful view of the port Hercule. The blue-coloured interior recalls the atmosphere of the cult film To Catch a Thief starring Grace Kelly and Cary Grant.

The restaurant offers a wide selection of Mediterranean dishes with Provençal, Italian and Greek accents: yellowtail tiradito served with tzatziki sauce, truffle arancini or beef tartare with lemon and strachatella cream. Vegetarian, gluten-free options and a large selection of desserts are also on the menu.
