The thirteenth jewel in the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts “necklace” will be a new luxury resort in the Maldives, which is scheduled to open in 2025. It will be called Bulgari Resort Ranfushi (Maldivian for ‘little golden island’) and will be located on more than 20 hectares of pristine waters and lush landscaped gardens at Raa Atoll in the Maldives, a 45-minute seaplane flight from Male Airport.

The new resort was designed by Italian architectural firm ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel in the spirit typical of all Bulgari hotels and resorts. A separate island will occupy the Bulgari villa. There will also be 33 beach villas, each with its own swimming pool, and 20 villas over water – each with a full range of hotel amenities. In doing so, the resort will meet the highest standards of environmental sustainability, including a bird nesting island.

Bulgari Resort Ranfushi will feature four gastronomic establishments: the famous Italian restaurant Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, curated by three Michelin-star chef Niko Romito; the Chinese restaurant Bao Li Xuan, the twin of the two Michelin-star establishment at Bulgari Hotel Shanghai; Hōseki with the Japanese concept already introduced at Bulgari Resort Dubai; and La Spiaggia with Italian beach cuisine. There will also be a Bulgari bar, a Bulgari spa with fitness centre, a yoga pavilion and a private library. A Bulgari boutique and La Galleria concept shop will open at the resort, where guests will be able to purchase pieces from international designers.

“We are particularly proud to have found such an extraordinary location for the new Bulgari Resort Ranfushi, as the Maldives is a key dream destination for our customers from around the world,” said Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.
