The Emerald Collection-branded five-star resort will not open in Zanzibar until October 2022. However, it has now joined The Leading Hotels of the World. This makes it the first and only hotel on the island to receive this high honour.
Set on a hill on the north east coast of Zanzibar, Emerald Zanzibar Resor & Spa offers guests to enjoy a signature Deluxe All-Inclusive package combining a variety of pleasures for body and soul, including water and land sports, gastronomic delights in four restaurants, unlimited access to a gelateria and two bars with an extensive wine list, relaxing face and body treatments using natural cosmetics at Emerald Spa.
The entire hotel complex is surrounded by tropical flowers and plants and harmoniously blends in with the surrounding landscape. Natural materials are used in the decoration of the buildings and the design incorporates elements of local island culture. The hotel only has suites. Each offers a magnificent view of the white-sand beach of Muni in Matemwe. According to Aldo Scarapicchia, partner and Managing Director of The Emerald Collection, the spacious suites “will not only provide a comfortable environment for an unforgettable holiday, but will also be an excellent starting point for exciting explorations of the amazing coral reef, which is as beautiful as the famous reefs in the Maldives, as well as the beautiful nature park on Mnemba Island”.
By the way, the Italian chain’s Maldives resort, Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa, has been named Asia’s Best All-Inclusive Resort by Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards 2022.
