If you choose the shores of the Indian Ocean for a short but vibrant holiday, look no further than the magnificent Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts family, namely those in Dubai and Bali. In this way, you will have the opportunity to combine dolce vita in its purely Italian format with a stay in a wonderful place – an urban or protected paradise.
Bvlgari Resort Dubai
The Bvlgari Resort Dubai is an urban oasis that brings Mediterranean spirit to the heart of the Emirati capital. Set on a man-made seahorse shaped island in Jumeirah Bay, it is linked to the “mainland” by a 300 metre-long bridge. Just a few minutes’ drive takes you into the heart of a massive city with a vibrant cultural and business life. The return journey takes you back to the much sought after peace and privacy.
Like all of the hotels in the remarkable Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts collection, the Dubai hotel was designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, who was able to combine Italian design and modern architecture with delicate Middle Eastern touches. The interior and facades have been created with the same attention to detail as the Bvlgari jewelry: combining rare natural materials, colours, textures and forming an overall atmosphere of timeless beauty. The style of Mediterranean seaside villages, illuminated gardens and swimming pools are all in harmony with the natural beauty of the Gulf Coast.
The resort combines six buildings with 173 apartments with sea views, 15 private residences, the Beach Club and the Bvlgari Marina & Yacht Club, the world’s first yacht club. All hotel rooms and suites, as well as villas, are furnished with luxurious Italian furniture from leading manufacturers: Maxalto, Flos, Flexform and others. The panoramic windows in all rooms and suites have magnificent views of Dubai and the Persian Gulf, as does the restaurant Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, which is designed in the image of the famous restaurant in the Bvlgari Hotel Milano. The three Michelin-starred brand chef Niko Romito has developed a unique culinary concept of contemporary Italian cuisine, with a strong reliance on the country’s rich tradition.
The Bvlgari Spa and Workshop are housed in one vast space with a total area of over 1,700 square metres. There are seven treatment rooms and a couple’s suite, a hammam, a 25-metre indoor pool and a pool reminiscent of the ancient Roman Thermae of Caracalla.
Bvlgari Resort Bali
The Bvlgari Resort Bali is beautifully set back from civilisation, high above the Indian Ocean, near the village of Pekatu and the temple of Pura Luhur Uluwatu, on a cliff-top location at the south-western tip of the island. In contrast to Dubai’s luxurious urban landscape, the Balinese hotel offers a fantastic view of the ocean from over 150m. In keeping with the ideas of the architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, its appearance blends traditional Balinese style elegantly with modern Italian design. Natural materials such as lava and volcanic stones, rare exotic woods, etc., have been used extensively in the construction of the hotel. Furniture and decorative items such as glasses, cutlery, ceramics and fabrics have been designed and made by local artists and designers. A collection of Balinese antiques also adorns the interiors.
The resort includes 58 ocean-view villas, five three- to five-bedroom mansions and a 1,300 sq.m. Bvlgari Villa. Each option comes with a small pool and a tropical garden courtyard. The resort’s two excellent restaurants serve fine Italian (Il Ristorante – Luca Fantin) and Indonesian (Sangkar restaurant) cuisine, while aperitifs are served on the outdoor terrace at the edge of the promontory. Here, in the relaxed atmosphere of The Bvlgari Bar, the highlight of the menu is the magnificent Balinese sunsets. It is, by the way, one of the best bars on the Bali coast. Its black resin bar counter is an exact replica of the bar at the Bvlgari Hotel in Milan.
In addition to a “classic” stay at the resort, guests are treated to a new Daycation. It is an opportunity to enjoy all the pleasures of a holiday during the day. For example, with the Dine & Immerse Daycation, guests can also relax by the pool. An exclusive offer from the resort is the organisation of a wedding ceremony. Getting married in the Indian Ocean, against a backdrop of vast waters and tropical greenery, within the walls of the Bvlgari Chapel is unforgettable.
