A tunnel, potentially leading to Cleopatra’s lost tomb, was unearthed 13 meters beneath the ancient Egyptian temple of Taposiris Magna, also known as the Great Tomb of Osiris, last year. Kathleen Martinez, an archaeologist, believes that this temple is the final resting place of the Egyptian queen and her lover, Mark Antony. Martinez asserts, “If this is the case, it would be the most significant archaeological find of the 21st century.” Tourists can be part of this groundbreaking discovery. The Luminaire offers an expedition journey where you can witness the ongoing excavations and restoration efforts in the tunnel.
