The ancient Tuscan village of Castelfalfi, which is more than 800 years old, is experiencing another birth. Located between Florence and Volterra, in an unusually picturesque area, among olive groves and vineyards, in close proximity to the main artistic and cultural monuments of Tuscany, it was carefully restored and turned into a resort Toscana Resort Castelfalfi. However, last summer the hotel changed its owner and on April 1 it was opened to guests in its updated and improved «version».
This season, the five-star hotel will feature an exquisite modern design entrance area, lobby, Ecrù bar, and panoramic terrace. The restyling also affected the rooms and suites – their complete update will end in the winter of 2023.
Changes have also affected the spa complex of the resort, including outdoor and indoor heated pools. In the updated spa menu appeared procedures using natural cosmetics brand ESPA.
The resort undoubtedly attracts its golf course – one of the most beautiful in Italy and the largest in Tuscany. The Golf Castelfalfi Club boasts 27 holes and an area of more than 9,400 sq. m with hills and meadows. But in addition to golf, Toscana Resort Castelfalfi offers guests other outdoor activities, including tennis courts, bicycle rental, yoga classes, training with a personal trainer, truffle hunting, wine tasting, archery, as well as the newly built adventure park Castelfalfi, a club for children and teenagers Falfy Kids & Teen Club and a playground for today’s fashion padel tennis.
This year the hotel plans to modernise the agricultural infrastructure and related areas so that guests can personally available with the products of the estate. The winery will be sustained by oenologist expert Emiliano Falsini – not only developing the existing farm, but also creating new high-quality organic products. In addition to the new monograde olive oil, a collection of flavoured oil dressings with truffles, rosemary and chilli pepper will be produced.
