The Swiss L’Epée atelier assists numerous renowned manufacturers in constructing remarkably intricate clocks. Yet, it doesn’t neglect its own interests: its portfolio frequently features astonishing “kinematic sculptures.” The Time Fast II limited edition draws inspiration from the racing sports cars of the 1960s. The 4.7 kg devices are equipped with an in-house caliber boasting an 8-day power reserve. Under the driver’s “helmet” is a constantly operating 2.5 Hz escapement, and where the engine would be, two rotating cylinders are sequentially arranged to display the hours and minutes.
