Erwin Sattler Opus Moon Tourbillon
Every aficionado of intricate, ultra-precise large-scale watches recognizes the name Erwin Sattler. This year, Germany’s oldest watchmaker refreshed its lineup with the Opus Moon Tourbillon table model. Here, two traditional complications take center stage: a minute tourbillon and a manually painted spherical moon phase indicator. Each indicator is further embellished with 12 diamonds. A separate gauge on the right side of the mechanism shows a fifteen-day power reserve.
Chanel Couture O’Clock Musical Clock
This year’s premiere from Chanel is an extraordinary homage to Haute Horlogerie and Haute Couture. At the Geneva Watches&Wonders exhibition, visitors were treated to a stunning automaton watch featuring a music box. Piece unique is the crown jewel of the Chanel Couture O’Clock capsule collection, inspired by the interiors of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s iconic Parisian atelier. Beneath the glass dome sits a lavish chandelier made of blackened yellow gold with diamond lights. Below the chandelier, five aluminum ceramic mannequins adorned with yellow gold and diamond jewelry are displayed. As Al Bowlly’s “My Woman” plays, they rotate both around the circle and on their own axes. Undoubtedly, the spectacle is captivating. The model’s base is adorned with a mosaic of 245 onyx pieces, mimicking the quilted leather found in Chanel accessories.
Van Cleef & Arpels Apparition des Baies
Van Cleef & Arpels has unveiled another masterpiece in its Extraordinary Objects collection. The Apparition des Baies features a base of spotted jasper topped with a bowl made from tulite, a rare pink-toned mineral. Inside the bowl is a movable crown made of lacquered gold leaves. Activating the mechanism causes the leaves to unfold, revealing a bird crafted from white gold and adorned with diamonds and sapphires. At the base’s bottom, a white gold butterfly marks the hours displayed on a rotating ring with gold beads and diamond-studded yellow gold indices.
